Lesser Known Table Games
While the superstar online casino games are clearly slots, poker, blackjack, and roulette, it is worth your while to consider some of the lesser known games. All online casino games have stood the test of time, and any true connoisseur of the casino experience would want to try out all of them, at least to know how it feels to play them.
If you aren't sure how to play, then you can take advantage of one of the best features of the online casino, especially in contrast to the real casino. You can play for free while you learn the game so that when you are ready to bet real money, you feel confident about how to play and win.
Baccarat
Baccarat is a card game unlike any other. It looks intimidating at first because it changes so many elements of cards but once you've played a few hands, it all comes together pretty easily. Number cards are worth the face value of the card, face cards like kings and queens are worth nothing, and an ace is worth one.
The game pits the "player" against the "banker" and can end in either one winning or a tie. Just because you are playing does not mean you are automatically the player. You bet on which side is going to win.
The game consists of two cards for each side. The winning side is the one that comes closest to nine. The twist is that only the digit figure counts. In other words, a combination of a 7 and a 9 is 16 but only the digit place counts, so it's a six. But a combination of 4 and 5 adds up to nine, which beats the 7 and 9.
It's also possible to draw a third card to add to the total. Adding cards, however, could lower the total if the card pushed the total into double digits, and the ten always drops. So a 9 and 5 would have a Baccarat total of 4 (the ten dropped) and adding another card could be a 9, which would leave you with 13 for a Baccarat total of 3.
But remember, you bet on which side is going to win, or if you think it will be a tie. You win the bet when you pick the correct outcome.
Craps
The classic dice game, craps may be based on pure luck but there is strategy in the betting. It's the game that always features in movies about casinos with big crowds cheering the "shooter" who rolls the dice.
The first roll is called the "come out roll". If you roll a combined 7 or 11, you win the game. If you roll "craps" - 2, 3, or 12 - you lose the game. And if you roll any other combination, you get another roll. The number you rolled becomes your "point" and if you roll hit your point again before you roll a 7, you win. And if you roll a 7 before your point, you lose.
The strategy in betting comes when you roll again. Before you roll, you have the option of adding a bet. Deciding on how to make that bet can make all the difference.
Keno
Keno is a fun game that's similar to playing the lottery but you get the results instantly. It's easy to learn and quick to play, making it the perfect game for those times when you want a break from slots games. The way you bet in Keno makes a big difference in how much you stand to win.
The object of the game is to guess the Keno numbers. You can choose anywhere between one and 15 numbers out of a board of 80. The computer then generates a list of 20 numbers. If your numbers match up, you win.
If you guessed one number and it's one of the 20 that come up, you win triple your bet. If you pick eight numbers and four of them match, you win. If six of them match, you win even more, and you get all eight, you hit a massive win.
The best win, of course, would be to select 15 numbers and hit all of them. That wins a whopping 10,000 coins!
